Kathleen Lumley College is the only dedicated postgraduate institution in South Australia, and welcomes applications from students attending any recognised tertiary institution. It is non-denominational and draws students from a broad range of countries, ethnicities and creeds.
Purpose-built accommodation is available for up to 81 residents. Most of the rooms have their own bathrooms, and 21 rooms and two flats are air-conditioned. Computer suites, Wi-Fi in most rooms, recreation facilities, regular very popular formal evenings and ready access to a number of nearby gyms and sportsfields make for an ideal environment for students who are looking for a place to work and to enjoy.
Those who are interested in broadening their worldview have the opportunity to attend regular talks and seminars on international affairs, with regular visits from prominent international academics, politicians and members of the diplomatic corps. Assistance is provided to students who require experienced readers for their papers and theses, and academic mentoring is available too. The College offers the CowanGrant Bursary and the Rodda Scholarship to students who qualify for these. They are awarded annually on a competitive basis.
